Improving any society’s workforce is very important, and knowing the steps to take and the benefits derived are keys to its progress, and we at the ‘Sailors’ Society’, are keen to promote our anchor organisation to every Christian Church in the United Kingdom, and to its value contribution in giving and seeing that seafarers, ship-owners, oil-rig workers, construction ship builders and workers, offshore or onshore individual person or persons gets spiritual, physical, mental, emotional and financial help in their time of need, whatever circumstance may occur.

All maritime trade is the life-blood of the United Kingdom’s economy and industry, for 90% of Britain’s economic activity depends on the oceans of this world. And every year Great Britain imports goods worth 524 billion pounds sterling. The United Kingdom is so dependent on the seas for its growing prosperity, that without organisations such as the ‘Sailors’ Society’ acting as spiritual and physical anchor deterrents the effects on the British economy of this tiny little island, we would personally believe be overwhelming. As the many waters cover the many vast seas and oceans of this world, the ‘Sailors’ Society’ through Chaplain intercessory prayers, drive and passion, and wise counselling are spiritually security committed to patrolling our maritime shores, offering reassurance and wider regional engagement to every seafarer or worker on and off the high seas. Our maritime Christian society’s wider capabilities provide humanitarian assistance; spiritual comfort and counselling as when required just like rescuing seafarers from Tsunami’s.

With the daily increase of more ship vessels being unfortunately used for human or illegal arms, the smuggling of drugs or trafficking immigrants, and the more recent threat of acts of terrorism the Christian ‘Sailors’ Society’ fleet of safe-guarding Chaplain workers, agencies and departments are never more needed right now. With 90% of all world trade that is transported by sea, Great Britain is an island nation that is dependent on its sea trade. Just like our Royal Navy is committed and dedicated to protecting maritime commerce, the ‘Sailor’s Society’ is also fully committed and dedicated to letting the United Kingdom and working in partnership and maintaining its capability with the Body of Christ worldwide know, that we are also committed through prayer and intercession in protecting the 17.3 billion + tonnes of goods, and the 600,000+ jobs directly dependent upon maritime necessitates, that the ‘Sailors’ Society’ is a formidable presence on the global stage.

logoWe at the ‘Sailors’ Society’ have a Christian responsibility to all its seafaring citizens, members, and partners in endeavoring to safeguard all that need our organisations’ humanitarian help, whether it’s spiritual, physical, mental, emotional or financial. As Coastguards and ship vessels carry for their passengers Lifebuoys’ to throw to a drowning person or a crew member falling overboard, these Lifebuoys’ have saved many lives every year. God also has human Lifebuoys’ like the ‘Sailors’ Society’ by means of which perishing sinners are rescued, and all those who have known His saving grace and power have received God’s precious life-line. The ‘Sailors’ Society’ is the Gospel Lifebuoy for all shipwrecked people, for God will’s is for all to be saved, and that no person on planet earth should perish, for He has provided salvation for all. You may be shipwrecked by sin, and sinking under the power of its dark murky waters; and this is the condition of all who are “without Christ and unsaved”. For a ship and a seafarer at sea in a perilous storm knows the value of a good secure anchor. A false or failing anchor means shipwreck and disaster.

logoWe here at the ‘Sailor’s Society’ want to be that steadfast anchor in the stormy seas of seafarer’s lives’. Just as many great ocean liners crossed the seas, week after week, carrying thousands of emigrants from their homes to distant lands, some for the better, and others for the worse we want to help people who daily use or need our organisations’ services to reach their shoreline of safety and protection. As life is compared to a great voyage, a passing or crossing over the sea, from one country to another; God’s Ship of Salvation is the Only One to trust for it is registered in heaven. No other guarantee’s a safe voyage across life’s sea, for God Himself is the Captain of our Salvation, and all the passengers are fully insured against loss on the voyage of eternal life. The chart of which we the ‘Sailors’ Society’ sails’ is God’s Holy Bible in which every port is clearly marked, so there is no danger of running aground on any hidden rock. A safe compass is also a needful part of the seafarers’ outfit, and the Holy Spirit of God is our only safe compass. Everything else is uncertain, and leaves doubt about safety but we at the ‘Sailors’ Society’ are using God’s voice to make sure, that every United Kingdom Church, and every seafarer or seafaring organisation, or onshore or offshore worker regardless of ethnicity, age, gender or age group, or disability has the opportunity to book themselves on God’s good ship of eternal grace, mercy, and love. No other ship has God’s guarantee of Glory, AMEN!!!
